Anybody else excited??? I'm generally happy to just see the start of a basketball season!!

Plus, I'm a Bulls fan so I'm looking forward to taking on the defending champs and Lebron and of course the return of Derrick Rose.

Should be a good season, lots of title contenders in both conferences. Miami is going to have a much tougher playoff path this season.

Should be a really interesting season. The number of really good teams who will really push to win the title is higher than usual this year, as is the number of really bad teams who will tank most of the season away in hopes of landing Andrew Wiggins.

My playoff seeding predictions--
East:
1. Chicago
2. Miami
3. Indiana
4. Brooklyn
5. Detroit
6. Cleveland
7. New York
8. Washington

West:
1. LA Clippers
2. San Antonio
3. Houston
4. Oklahoma City
5. Golden State
6. Memphis
7. Minnesota
8. Denver

Being a Bulls fan I hope you're right but I don't think anybody will top Miami. They only lost Miller and if they can get something out of Oden, they will be much improved. Granted that's a big IF with Oden's history.

In 2011 and 2012, the Bulls out-paced the Heat in the regular season. Last year they were the 5-seed even without their best player. I think that if Rose is truly back to his pre-injury form, Chicago will be a 63-66 win team and edge Miami for the #1 seed.

I see what you are saying and in fact I think the Bulls are better than they were in 2011/2012 with Jimmy Butler. However, the Heat didn't have Ray Allen or any help from outside shooting those years. I'm very interested to see how Oden plays out. We all know he's injury prone but if he can give them a presence inside that they have never had, this could be the best team the Heat have put on the floor.

I don't think they'll get anything substantial out of Oden, not to mention playing him means their best lineup (Bosh at 5 and LeBron at 4) is impossible. I also think too many of their players (Battier, Allen, Wade) are on the wrong side of 30. They won 66 games last year, and I think that was the peak for this group. I think they'll take a step back during the regular season and be around 58-60.

I think Noah better stay healthy for the Bulls. His nagging injuries (and he is already hurt) tend to leave the Bulls a little thin up front.

The Orlando Magic got tank-a-palooza started the right way tonight. Andrew Nicholson scored 18 points to lead them to a halftime lead in Indiana. What did coach Jacque Vaughn do? He benched Nicholson for the entire 3rd quarter. Nicholson ended the game with just 19 minutes and was 0/1 from the field in the second half.

This would be fun to keep up with the entire year. The Tanking Standings!

Brooklyn's got a team.

Williams
Johnson
Pierce
Garnett
Lopez

Plus they got Reggie Evans coming off the bench!!

I love the NBA but I admit I don't pay a lot of attention on the offseason moves but I'm flabbergasted at this nets roster.

Off the bench, Jason terry and kirilenko and Blanche.

This team is old but solid and deep. I believe they can challenge the heat if they stay healthy and can pace themselves and spread the minutes to keep the vets healthy.

Andrew wiggins must be a special player. I really hope the hawks get a chance to play them in our early season tourney.
