What bothers me is that players come out saying the fans shouldn't vote for the players...my question is: Are there any other pro athletes more selfish than Pro BBall players?

Fans should not vote for All-Stars in any sport! Yao Ming starts every year because the whole country of China votes him in! McGrady has played six games this year, and it took a huge push by Nash at end to overtake him.

In baseball Matsui and Ichiro start every year, whether they deserve to or not.

In the NBA, I think players and coaches should vote for starters and reserves. Then have the guys who finished 10-15 in that voting go up for the fans to vote for two "wildcards." Then you would legitimately have an All-Star game.
