Nate's post-game comments

Radio broadcast:

"We just need to execute better."
tired, very tired of hearing that. same mistakes from the same people over and over again. both players and coaches.
four games lost this season with same underlying mistakes and with a "new" and different one each game. The latter can be dealt with because that's the nature of competition; the former .... you're just beating yourself.

Poor Nate.

Since KF isn't leaving after this season, then he needs to hint to Nate to go on the NFL path this season because he's opening up QB competition and let that be a hint it won't be him starting next season.

There is no way anyone can convince me that Mansell or Petras can't execute the dump passes AND are less accurate throwing the ball downfield.

No way.

You want accuracy downfield?

Stanley will not play in the NFL. He is a bad college qb. He has a strong arm, and is big, and that is it.

Yes!!! Like that!

First, I noticed his footwork. Very good.

Secondly, I noticed none of his posts wides got separation either.

Third, can’t help but notice the touch.

****

If KF wants to have a divisional title next season then he has to whisper in Nate’s ear that there is an open competition and Petras looks solid as a rock

(Greek pun intended)

I will be sure to get this post out to the NFL scouts, so they won't waste their precious time with him. I am sure they will send you a thank you note.

It’s very possible Stanley will “play” in the NFL and by that I mean .... hold a clipboard. Like you said he’s big and he’s got a cannon but in the NFL you have to be accurate, too.

Scouts and GMs and HCs will think they can teach him accuracy. Probably can a little but that seems to be a talent that is developed or gifted from early on — the learned ability for accuracy has a low ceiling for improvement.

He doesn’t have a high ceiling for accuracy. The times where he does put it in a tighter window I’m now convinced is more accidental than intentional. There is just too much evidence otherwise.

20 games into a starting college career and he overthrows a receiver by 5 yards and nobody is within 15 yards of him .... ?

That did it for me. I was wrong. Others were right about Stanley. I thought he would improve substantially. He hasn’t. It’s time to move on.
