Nashville Radio talked about Iowa opening and Stallings

To paraphrase:

Said that Stallings wouldn't leave Nashville in their opinion as he just built a multi-million dollar home in order to move his ailing mother-in-law in with them.

They said that they hadn't seen this kind of excitement in the Vandy program EVER and that if Iowa came calling, Vandy would most certainly match anything that we could put out there.

They also talked about Bruce Pearl and gave us NO chance of hiring him. They said that Tennessee mens BB had NEVER gone beyond the Sweet 16 - ever - and that if Tenn wins this weekend there isn't enough money in the world that Tenn couldn't match. Don't know if that is true or not.

They also talked about Gillispie heading to U of Houston to replace the old guy that just announced he was leaving the program today - I'm too lazy to look up his name as it certainly has nothing to do with Iowa.

If he can stay out of trouble, Gillispie will be a big success at Houston. Lots of talent in the immediate area, and the kind of school in which he can "operate."

yep ZERO CHANCE Iowa gets a "big name" --- Z-E-R-O--- and especially not Pearl...

Then Barta better get a phenomal recruiter and hope this coach wins immediately because without a "big name" coach fans aren't most likely going to show up until the Ws start mounting up. That is why we need a coach that won't only recruit players but ALSO fans!
