1.) Pearl. Ever hear this-- "What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?" The great ones do not sit around and dwell onthe reasons why something can't be done. They make it happen. Barta needs to make this happen. Just like we want great coaches and players who make things happen, this is his time to be a great A.D. Just like we want our new coach to be a positive salesperson for the team, we need Barta to be a positive salesperson for the University. We want a coach who can recruit ble chip talent? First, we need an A.D. who can do the same thing. This is YOUR TIME, Barta! You can do it!
2.) Kevin Stallings. Keep an eye on this one. I believe he will be out next coach. Great resume, and I think, despite our troubles, Iowa is still a step-up from Vanderbilt. For one thing, their benches are behind the baskets. That has to get old. That has always bothered me and it is just weird.
3.) The General. Robert Montgomery Knight. I know that won't happen, but I sure would prefer it to a boring hire that does not excite the fan base. If there is one thing crystal clear to me-- this fan base is hungry for Hawkeye Basketball excitement.
4.) We need to bring back the "Halloween" theme song at tip-off time again. How can we make sure this happens? Why in the world did they stop doing that?
