MY run in with Nebraska fans in an Omaha mall

My son and I were in a mall in Omaha today this afternoon. I had an Iowa shirt on and two mall cops said, "Hey! Iowa's gonna be 10-0 tonight." I said, "Yeah, I hope so." Immediately some other guy is the store pipes up with a loud, "That's all you get too!" The employee behind the counter, before I can respond to the first guy says, "OK! I predict Nebraska will get their BIG win of the year vs Iowa." I say, "Michigan St. wasn't big?" He replies, "Yeah, but we won't have to worry about Iowa being close!" I so bad wanted to start in about Illinois, Wisky, or Northwestern. These people are the most delusional fan base in the B1G, if not the country. Why in God's name won't my wife agree to move away from this state! Ok, rant over.
 
The Nebraska game makes me nervous.. Not because they're better, but because it's @Nebraska, Nebby has a bye going into the short week, while Iowa does not.

Trick or treat Nebraska. No idea what team shows up each week.

Yep. They get a week and a half to prepare. Iowa will essentially have 3 days to prepare. Not good. I have a horrible, continuously building feeling about that game.

Have you thought about getting a new wife? Lol, just kidding. Seriously though if she starts to buy Cornhusker items; hats, shirts, cups, doormats (oops that's Iowa State.... My bad) ink pens, banners, etc, you might want to consult your lawyer. :)
 
If we are healthy, I like our chances. If CJB is still hobbling etc and bugeaters are coming off a bye week rest............could be trouble.

No matter what, Iowa's D needs to sack up.
 
Purdue. Win. Then play East winner.
Debby? Who? IA might go into c.game 11-1..not bad!!
Purdue next Saturday. Win and celebrate!
Open up the play book after Purdue.
Also, Akrum and J. Can. Should be 100% by then!

I've been worried about this game since we beat WUs. If we beat Purdue then we're the West champs and WE literally have nothing to lose because I don't think we get past OSU. OSU should beat Sparty, so we'll be higher rated so we go to Rose Bowl even with 2 losses.

My point is that can let things fly and go 4 for 4 in trophy games, plus we owe those guys for last year. kNU will probably bring the same game plan as Minny, so we've seen it. If they don't, no way Armstrong beats us with his arm.
 
I've never seen a fanbase and media more certain of beating an undefeated team. It's a foregone conclusion around here.

I predict a shootout but their QB makes a ton of mistakes and ours doesn't.
 
At the end of the day, it's a fuking game. People dont need to be running their mouth in public because of who their favorite team is.

I remember your horrible, continuously building feeling about Indiana also. And others before that. Maybe you should try having a little faith in your undefeated team. Just a thought.

Junior was epic against MSU in the last minute. A vastly more athletic Leidner, mostly mediocre but capable of "going off" at exactly the wrong time.
