Must be nice to play your first tough conference road game the 30th game of the year. UNI has zero good road wins this year. This team is supposed to be top ten in the country? Thought for sure All-American candidates Wyatt Lohaus and Jeremy Morgan would carry them to the win, instead they choke away a conference title.
 
That was a great college basketball game between two solid mid-major teams. I’ll continue to root for the Panthers, but they are not a top 10 team.

You can't forget likely NBA lottery pick Washpun either. According to fairfax Washpun is better than anyone on Iowa's roster.
 
Well, I always cheer for UNI when they're not playing the Hawks.

But the nice thing about this loss is that I can take solace that a first class doosh is bumming pretty hard right now. Thank you, Fairfax!

Go Hawks! (And, yeah, go Panthers too.)

I like how not since 1972 have two MVC teams been ranked both times they played.

Fairfax won't be back until UNI does something significant. He's all woman. Won't man up after a loss. He'll go back to cyfan and play his game there. Right now I'm sure his mommy has warm milk and cookies for him. I always liked UNI and pulled for them to win but much like ISU the fans of those teams(1 for UNI) has made me enjoy their losses.
 
Ol' Bairbax was just hoping so bad the that PSU could pull it off so he could make an appearance on HM without looking silly.

Hey, did you guys know UNI beat us and NW (who beat us)? Boy, that seems like a loooong time ago.

Joking aside, I actually pull for UNI when not playing us, but just for Ol' Fairfuks I was all Shocker today....who I think just made another 3.
 
Oh where is Fartfax when we need some good comedy? He and his NBA roster go down in flames with the title on the line.

Just another day in a #one bid league.
 
Ya, where are those old cronies.....Screw those guys....Oh just wait come Tuesday when we play @ Indiana...if, by chance we lose, they'll be back, they always return.....Oh, good pass today by Niang today....

This is why so many NBA teams are tanking right now. Signs everywhere around the league ... 'Tank for Tuttle' and 'Wash out for Washpun'. Fairfax will be on to confirm it.
 
As a Panther alum... I have a soft spot for them. Still a diehard hawk that wore my black and gold in the student section when they played at the UNIdome.

Too bad Fairfac had to be a doiche. Wish others could route for them as well.

I feel like I want to defend them when people want to talk about conference results.

1). Their SOS and conference are not good and that's a fact.

However, they are a legit top 25 team. No matter what conf they play in.

That was the thing ..... many Hawk fans are pulling for UNI but with a dbag like Fairfax it makes it really hard. If he is really a UNI fan at all.

So you think they finish above OSU, Purdue, iowa, Michigan State in the B1G playing these teams night in and night out with Maryland and Wisconsin sprinkled in possibly twice? No way. UNI is a top 25 team bc they have an absolute cupcake of a schedule. The Valley is embarrassingly terrible. Their best win up until their win over another hugely overrated WSU, who also benefits from playing 8 tomato cans in conference, was Iowa on a neutral floor early in the year when Iowa couldn't throw it in the ocean. Sorry but UNI in B1G, B12 or ACC is absolutely not a top 25 team.

You can focus on the strength of schedule all you want and let it cloud your perception.


UNI beat Iowa on a netr floor.
Iowa beat OSU twice.
Iowa lost to Purdue but I feel the hawks are the better team.
Spartys ok but not as good as typic Izzo teams.

So yes I think they would be able to compete with those teams. Of course they would have more losses but on the flip side, they would have some quality wins.

Top 25, yes. Top 10, never.

That's how I see it.
