Muscatine RB Alphonso Soko Looking to Mimic Wadley Weight Gain

I really liked this kids video. Has speed, is a tough runner. Very good vision with lateral quickness. Runs well in tight traffic. Next Fred Russell? He sure looked like it in his video. I think this kid should be a top, top target for Iowa.

I've been watching this young man since 8th grade. Raw talent who is finally 'growing up' and just learning to be a running back (vision, patience, setting up blocks, etc). It will be fun to see his growth, not just physically, but mentally this fall. Muscatine should have a nice team with some talent (they need to build a line) but they have a murderer's row schedule to start the year: 1. State runner-up CR Kennedy 2. Always dangerous IC West 3. then face eastern Iowa powers PV, North Scott and Bett...one after the other! If Soko can play well against these teams, there is no doubt he is the real deal!

I imagine he'd already have an offer if we weren't able to land Benjamin. Will the staff try to convince him to walk on or maybe offer a grey shirt opportunity?

good point. I would hope that they find a scholly for this kid and sign 3 rb's. I would like to see this kid compete with the kid from Illinois (can't recall his name right now) for minutes. I could forsee having similar rb's to Greene and Russell on the field at the same time. THAT would be dangerous for our opponents. There is just something about this kid; the way he maneuvered through traffic, untouched, really caught my attention. If he can't gain the weight, then worse case is PR/KR.

Looking forward to meeting him and getting a look at him working out in a few weeks at The Opening Chicago Regional.
