MSU opens as a

weird. must be a lot of people betting on the Hawks. MSU only a 3.5 point favorite at home is strange. though they have been playing pretty poorly this half of the season.

With this.... I'll take MSU and the points. Love my Hawks, but they will need to bring D to a new level

Unfortunately, I'm thinking this might be Iowa's first double digit loss this year. I hope I'm wrong.

Iowa will have to win by 10 or more to overcome the refs giving all the calls to the msu dbags.

My prediction is that Iowa dominates enough to win by 25. The refs try to give the game to msu that keeps it a lot closer than it should be.

Iowa wins 84-74

Harris is garbage unless the refs let him take 3 steps. If he is forced to dribble he won't know what to do.

I am surprised as well at the line but Vegas doesnt care that Iowa hasnt won in EL since I was 9 years old.

if its in the 90s, Harris will have 40 and someone off the bench with 12 minutes all year will have 22 on 7/7 shooting.

And I could say RDM will have 40. No doubt Harris is a good player, but he has been inconsistent this season and a bit over-hyped, based on his play. There was a reason MSUx tried (and succeeded) in controlling tempo the first time around to keep the game in the 60's.

MSU just lost to nebbie and Illinois the last 2 home games, people shouldn't be surprised by the line. Still a really tough game though.

Hey, Arvada ... The Hollins boys and Will Sheehey are on the line to debate this claim with you.

So you are saying that Iowa will play better defense if the score is in the 50's and 60's as opposed to the 80's or 90's? If Iowa isn't playing very good defense, period, they are going to lose. Iowa's best chance at beating MSUx is scoring in the 80's or 90's.

Yes, plus Iowa hasn't lost a game by more than 8 pts. all year. Them Vegas boys study all of that stuff.

Taking road dogs in the big ten has been a big money maker this season. Last night I took both Nebraska +6 and Purdue +13 and they hit pretty easily.

Of course Izzo and his love affair with the officials gives MSU an extra +5 and then Dick Vitale drooling over Izzo and the ACC all night probably gives MSU an extra +7. So Iowa should be about a 17 point underdog... ;)
