I hope when I wake up tomorrow nebraska is still in the big xii and we are back to the original cast. This must be what it is like for for most young girls making the journey to womanhood. I'll guess the one thought that goes through their mind after it is over is, "Is that all there is".

If this is the extent of the realignment I wish everyone had just stayed where they were. So now I'll play like Tooter Turtle......you'll have to google it.

Not me. I've been waiting for Nebraska to join the Big 10 since I can remember thinking about such things.

I understand your point about "is this all there is?"

So an insignificant Colorado goes to a weakened Pac 10. So what?

Nebraska goes to the Big Ten, with a playing style like most other Big Ten teams, but doesn't expand the BTN footprint or bring a lot of $$$ with them? Really?

All this angst... for this?!

I'm right there with you.

In general, I think those who want Nebraska in the Big 10 and those who don't fall out along the lines of pre-Hayden Fry days fans (those who don't, who love and understand the tradition of the original Big Ten) and Hayden Fry days-to-present fans (those who do, whose sense of history is more limited). I will say I wasn't a fan of Penn State into the Big Ten, but I've grown to accept it, in time I'll probably feel the same way about Nebraska (but it will take longer). I'm also sorry to see the passing of Nebraska-Oklahoma - it used to be one of my favorite games of the year.

The NU-OK rivalry got snuffed the day the Big 8 let the snakes of texas infiltrate their conference.

I'm fine with the addition of Nebby. I think it makes the Big 10 a better conference and seriously, it was kind of weird having 11 teams. I look forward to even divisions and a conference championship game.

I suffered thru the 17 non-winning seasons, and still am fine with Nebraska on board.
They will add money to the pot...and enhance the league's football stable.

I don't think it's over. I bet we see two more teams join in the next two weeks.

While the B10 might not be done expanding, they will go back to the slow process of trying to recruit Notre Dame. I cannot see Missouri jumping ship now that they found out the B10 is not anxious to go after the KC & StL market. I think they feel slighted by the B10 now as they were forced to beg Texas to keep the B12 intact. But if the B10 does manage to get Notre Dame to apply then I could see them going after an eastern school like Rutgers. If ND does not apply then I think they are done expanding for a long time.
