Moving on to keep the NCAA hopes alive

Most people say they "take" a ****. I'd prefer the Hawks "leave" this one. Can't let Wisky ***-whoop ya rest of the season.

So, I figure Hawks have to go 3-2 next 5 and 4-3 final 7. They finish, 20-11 / 10-8, which should be a lock for 9 or 10 seed. That still gives them a fairly decent chance to get a 1, maybe 2, in the BTT and move up to a 7-8 seed. I'd be thrilled with this, as, I think it would demonstrate the Hawks achieved close to what they are capable of (exceeded what I thought they were) and, frankly, that's been a rarity in Iowa men's athletics for way too many years.

Now, here's how I see it: reality / possibility.
@Purdue = W / W
Wisky = L / L
@Mich = L / W
Maryland = L / L
Minny = W / W
@NwU = W / W
Rutgers = W / W
@Nebby = L / W
Illannoy = W / L
@PennSt = L / W
@Indy = L / L
NwU = W / W

I got them finishing anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4 over the next 12. That's 19 - 12 to 21 - 10. For Iowa, considering the national skepticism, 20 is the magic number this year. That would mean no bad losses and a few good wins.

I want to be optimistic about Iowa's chances this year, unfortunately I see us going down like the Hindenburg.

Hawks will be fine. It's not a bad loss at all. The fashion in which they lost was pretty ugly, but road loss to a top 10 team? meh..........we got this, brah.

Michigan is not good at all without Lavert. We need to beat them bad to give us some leway for the last 8 games. If we beat them and purdue, our chances of making the tourney are about 90%. They're about 99% if we do that and get 1 from Wisconsin or Maryland.

Some people think every single final score is an exact indictment on where a program is at. Wisconsin lost to fricking Rutgers a week ago. College basketball fluctuates so much from game to game.

I'm on board ... but I think going 7-5 in the final 12 makes us 11-7 in conference (still 20-11 overall).

Not sure that means a lot from a seed standpoint, but i think an 11-7 big ten team with the quality wins we already have is a lock to get in.

Just have to get there.

Agreed. Everyone needs to ******* relax. It's one game. Iowa sits 4-2 in the Big Ten with wins at North Carolina and Ohio State under their belt
