Move Marble to the Point and Quit Messing Around, Fran

Marble needs to play the point. Period. His length and ability to penetrate and dish is what we need. Plus, that is the position he will be playing in the NBA.

Fran, good gosh, can't you see it?????

Bottom line, Marble needs the ball in his hands a heck of a lot more than it is now. If this doesn't happen soon, we are going to be a bubble team. This team deserves a better fate.

I blame Fran at this point. Too many people are playing and the wrong people are shooting the ball.

When he sees your post Fran will likely make some adjustments and thank you publicly.

I have to disagree. I think MG can play well at PG if Fran would just let him play more. Even when he misses layups and FTs he seems to have a confidence that good players just have.

1) It's more to with the fact that Mike is so much better at the PG spot than he is the SG than it has to do with Dev.
2) Marble is not going to play PG in the league.

Marble still has too much 'ball-hog-itis' to be an effective point guard. When the game is on the line, HE DOESN'T give the ball up. Witness the last Iowa shot of regulation when he went 1 against 5 against the MSU defense.... and still almost made it. He drove to the basket because, IMO, he didn't have enough confidence in his outside shot.

Olasani is the only guy with a remote chance of sniffing the league.

I guess you haven't noticed his 10 turnovers the last two games.... or Gessells league leading assist to turn over ratio...

Is this a joke? Did you watch the game last night?

When Marble ran the point it was terrible, everything stops working and they turn the ball over.

Mike goes out and osu starts killing us, Mike comes back in Iowa recovers.

Please tell me this idea was a bad joke.

Any one can see Mike is a much better pg.

Don't kid yourself. Marble is gonna sniff the league. He was showing up on draft boards earlier in the year.

Gabe has had 2 nice games back to back and has the length and speed but I'm not sure he could hang with the physical play in the league. He gives up too many easy buckets trying to block every shot at this level.... it'd be worse in the league.

You are forgetting about Woody...

The probability of an American between 6’6″ and 6’8″ being an NBA player today stands at a mere 0.07%. It’s a staggering 17% for someone 7 feet or taller.

Marble was getting raped by that white guy with rosy cheeks, if he had such an easy time guarding Marble and turning him over how well do you think Marble will do at the NBA level? I seriously doubt the rosy cheeks guy will be starting in the NBA any time soon.

Mike is absolutely our best option at the point. He's had his off nights shooting, but he's only turned the ball over more than twice in a game four times (3 in three games, 4 in another). He's got 16 turnovers through 10 conference games; Marble has 29 in the same span. He's a good defender who does a great job of taking care of/distributing the ball, and he's capable of some strong scoring nights, too. Marble and Gesell are both at their best when playing off the ball and the point, respectively.
