Motivation? Which team comes in hungry?

The more I think about this, the more I think KF has circled the wagons and is using all that has gone on to create the "us against the world" attitude. Several things point to this conclusion:

1) I honestly believe Iowa's seniors don't want to go out with the Minnesota "taste" in their mouths. The belief from the fan base that the team quit has to motivate a prideful group.
2) DJK's actions have put a stain on the program image...the team needs to erase those images.
3) Missouri comes in ranked highly, while Iowa is out of the rankings for the first time in almost two years. Statement time.
4) KF consistently is talking about the attitude of the team and how good it is. If other years are any indication for bowl prep, he's working their butts off and they are responding.

With the pats on the back that Missouri is getting for a fine season, and the fact that they have struggled against physical teams that run the ball, I believe this lines up well for Iowa.

I'm trying to take my heart out of this discussion, but I believe Iowa has a huge edge in motivation to be prepared in this football game.

I, too, think Iowa will come ready to play. I agree that I think this team will want to come out and make a statement and I am sure Kirk and staff are getting their attention (too bad they could not have done that for the Minny game!).

I expect a good game, at least within 10 points and I give Iowa just as good of a chance to walk out with a win.
