Moss and Cook

Seeing these two play is a blessing. Can't remember when we have had this kind of talent! Dailey and Pemsl no slouches either. We are going to be really good. Not sure if it will be this year or next year but we are going to be really good.

It's interesting how many people put so much stock in ptl play, but at the same time don't think Moss will start.

Yeah trying to read into stats or even much of anything in PTL is just tough. I once saw Brody Boyd put up 50 in a game... And I would compare Bohanon to him. I think he is trying to pattern his style more after a poor mans Steph Curry by the sounds of it which sure wouldn't be bad. Between the competition, style of play/lack of defense and overall effort at that end of the floor just makes it impossible. Not to mention there really isn't an offense to speak of they run. It's pretty much just YMCA pickup ball. Maybe a ball screen here and there but mostly it's one on one penetrating or jacking up Js. Moss has the frame and looks athletic. Will he have the shot selection and ability to hit shots in BIG? Who knows yet. I think it's between him and Ellingson who gets to back up Jok so he who Ds up and isn't a complete liability at that end is who I think will play more

I read an article that said Moss was pretty inefficient scoring points.

Lol. I'm pretty sure I read that same article. It said he's scored 24, 24, 23, & 25 pts in PTL but it's taken him more shots to get there each game. That doesn't include how he played yesterday.

Now that he's settled in with his team I'm sure they are looking to him to shoot more. Not sure I would derive from that he's an inefficient scorer.

If you recall Jok played the 3 for us last year. I think Moss is hoping to replace Sapp's minutes at the 2. I know many posters around here have speculated that he has a good chance of starting. If Fran wants to get up and down the floor, it sounds like Moss is one of our fastest players. IMO it would be very disappointing if Moss is only battling BE to spell Jok.

BTW, in the last 3 games, Moss shot....

7/17: 52% FG, 36% 3pt
7/14: 57% FG, 0-1 3pt
7/10: 40% FG, 33% 3pt

I think the author of that article was actually referring to the game where he shot 57% from the field. Lol

Yea that looks way to efficient to say it's inefficient. Where do you get those stats?

Anybody know how good we are at free throws. It would be nice if we had a really good team of free throw shooters especially at the end of games.

Through three games Ellingson and Bohannon are shooting 100%, Baer 82%, Moss 79%. I don't know how many attempts they have had. Kriener played Sunday and he had 11 points.
