More Reaction to Tressel

Some of these comments, especially John Cooper's are pretty hardcore. It seems as though Cooper did things mostly the right way but only beat Michigan twice and had only 3 bowl wins while Tressel was a slime ball but was 9-1 against Michigan with multiple conference titles, BCS game victories and a National Championship.

Cooper is vilified for not being able to win and Tressel is headed for sainthood because he beat Michigan and won at all costs. That is messed up. I hope this ends very very badly for OSU.

Edit: I am talking about Rittenberg's post that is titled "More Ohio State/Pryor/Tressel Reaction"

I'm sure Cooper is bitter to some degree. He brought in an incredible amount of talent to OSU. Many of which left early for the pros they were so good. This was back in the days when you had to be awesome to leave early.

But when you lose the last 2 games of the year nearly every season, it leaves a bad taste for fans to deal with for 9 months.

What happened to Cooper just tells how insane OSU is over Michigan. That game simply means too much to them. Can you imagine if OSU brought in a guy like Ferentz who views each game equally?

I love this one regarding Pryor:

Pryor's grandmother also told Schad of her grandson: "He'd be better if people would leave him alone. Pray for him."

Grandma, seems to me leaving him alone was how this all started. How bout raising him the right way?! This is typical...look at me...look at me...look at me. Oh wait, I'm in trouble....JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, I'm being treated so unfairly.

Makes me wanna puke.

I don't think they'd like losing to Northwestern and Indiana. ;)

They better get use to losing to teams like Northwestern and Indiana. They are going to be hit harder than USC and in a couple of years these type of games will become more competitive. BCS bowls will not be in there future for at lest 5 to 7 years.

Obviously if you're coaching OSU, the only pitch you have to make to land a Top 5 recruiting class every year is "This is OSU calling."

That's a lot different than having to plead and work your tail off every year just to land a Top 35 class.

If you look at the results Ferentz has gotten at Iowa, I don't think you'd see much drop off from Tressel if he was the coach at OSU.
