Iowa can still roll this to a positive note and the door is wide open for them to do so. It's going to be hard and some hard things are likely going to happen, but that's how things change. I'm all for it. I also don't think this is tearing down our program, I mean, I get that it's not a good look, but I think it's a cultural thing that is not exclusive to Iowa. Iowa's actually going to have a head start on it.

The first goal as a coach isn't to win games, but to help individuals become great and successful human beings. To see the team standing together fighting for a common goal off the field shows the character of those individuals and makes me a proud Hawkeye fan who will continue to support these athletes on and off the field.

Your 100% fight about this not being a good look, but it paints a picture of what is going on around the country. Nothing about this issue is positive. However, the positive spin comes from the unification of different individuals, from different backgrounds, moving forward to take a stand together. It's a bad look for the university, but an even worse look for the country. Hopefully as a nation we can all come closer together and move toward a common goal.

I think the swarm is going to take on a whole new meaning.

In theory you are 1000% correct. In reality it is about winning football games. Winning football games has to be part of the equation, it just does.

Ebony and Ivory, live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on piano keyboard, O Lord, why don't we..

Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney....you are going with a pop culture reference that anyone under the age of 40 doesn't get. Absolute genius. I'm just kidding, most of the regular posters on here are 40+.;)

I am 40+ a lot. Thanks for the reminder, trj.

Comment: This would be a great time to listen to the players, past and present, and stop arguing among ourselves. One consistent, pleasing, piece I have seen in HN member posts is that we need to learn and change. Sound like the players would be a very good resource for us.
