More heartbreak

Set up by the worst PI call in the history of college football

Tell me why that was the worst PI call in history, was the ball too high and uncatchable because Brents was holding the guy with no need to?

Plesase reply as I was so pissed I didnt see much of the explanation only the video.

I hate to be one of those fans, but . . . bad PI call, and two ridiculous holding calls to thwart the offense when we had the ball just before Purdue had their last drive. The zebras took over the game and did not let the players determine the outcome. Very disappointing.

The "Holding" on Render was a joke - especially the angle from the ref that threw the flag - this was biggest call of the last 5 flags in the game.

The Purdont receiver was holding Brents. Brents had equal rights to the ball it should have been offensive PI.

Purdont should not have had the ball anyways. First off the holding calls were total nonsense. Thosr were clean Iowa blocks. Then the Purdont DB made contact early on ISM, and pushed through his body. That should have been defensive PI. First down Iowa.

Kirk was also a little chippy about the officiating in his after conversation with gary and ed. There was a great play in the 4th quarter and I can't remember if it was on a td or just on a play down by the end zone where they went to this camera angle from the leftside line and you see our wide receiver just being absolutely mugged, grabbed, held, and spun by the shirt by this defender, right in front of a ref, and no call. They were holding all game, and got away with it. Brian about went postal on one of the two two point conversions that we failed on, because our wide receiver was being egregiously held which is why we missed it. Zeebs definitely were a story in this game.

Ferentz said afterward "right cause the first hold of the entire game was on that drive late....yeah we felt like some of our guys were being grabbed today too. " (i'm paraphrasing). We have pretty good receivers this year, I know we've struggled at receiver for a couple years, but were pretty good there this year, and they sure looked like they were being grabbed a lot. He also said the play brents made that got called for pi, looked good on the replay, and then said tongue in cheek, he must have had a bad angle.
