MN DE Aaron Witt Talks About Earning Iowa Offer at Camp

Witt verbally committed to Minnesota awhile back. He decommitted today. Iowa is back in the picture.

I'm shocked that a recruit decommitted from Minnesota. I really think PJ's pressure to commit on the spot is kind of BS.

Yep, it does then no favors if you ask me. They aren't around these kids enough that putting that type of pressure on them can keep them committed. I really like Iowa's approach in that they tell them to look around, make sure of what they want before committing. It leads to a lot less decommits (never going to eliminate all of them), but Iowa's guys seem pretty dang solid once they do commit.

Anthony Nelson, AJ Epenesa, and Chauncey Golston say hi. When you see DEs ready to get drafted...it's got to be pretty impressionable for a young kid trying to figure out where to go when your dream is to play in the NFL.

I think Golston is going to have a breakout year. You know AJ is going to get chipped and all the attention...Chauncey will be one on one all year...he's ready for the next step...and he still has a high upside in my opinion...he was just playing behind an NFL player.

I'm very high on Golston. I think he's going to be a stud.
