This pretty much leaves Iowa with no QBs left on the board except for Gunner Kiel and the chances he comes to Iowa are slim and none. Since Iowa doesn't look to be taking any QBs this class unless somebody pops up late, it can close the book on one of the main arguments that has been debated on the message boards the last two years, Derby switching positions. Here is why. Assuming Iowa doesn't take a QB this class, in 2011 they have three active QBs and one RS. In 2012 they will have four active QBs however after the 2012 season two of them are guaranteed to leave thus leaving Derby as a JR and Ruddock as a SO for the 2013 season. At this point they won't move Derby because if they did that would mean in 2013 we would have Ruddock and then incoming freshmen as the backups. Therefore Iowa not taking any QBs this class can put an end to the "Derby to _______" discussion.
