Minnesota on the ropes...

I know I sort of called out HawksMN for his incessant hating on the Gophers, but it turns out he was dead right. The worst team in the conference has outscored them 55-30 in the last 30 minutes.

Good to see. They are going to talk about the effect on Iowa after the Indiana disaster following the game on Live Big....

Jimmy Jackson always seems to have good things about the Hawks.....

I disagree, he was saying Minnesota was already on the bubble before tonight. They were not on the bubble until after this loss. Now they sit squarely on it, IMO still barely in.

So let me get this straight. It now seems to be a consensus among HN peeps that we are going to struggle playing at The Barn. Now we will all have to sit back and think about the fact that it is now the same barn that hosted the Illini and got crushed. Not Purdue, or Northwestern, but Illinois. Dead last, Illinois. Does The Barn seem the same "scary" as it did before tonight?

HA, Karma for releasing that stupid Buffalo Wild Wings commercial. At least we will make the tournament. The goofers can watch us from their snowy homes.

As mentioned by Volhawk, I especially liked them being outscored 55- 30 in the second half.....

I do like Coach Pitano, he showed his class after losing at Carver.....

MN...LOST?

At home? To the worst team in the league?

I will not say another word, but we all know where the Gophs are at now......

Neb, are you watching, this is your chance man.

I would agree, When I look at him I think - you slimy little-. But when I heard him I thought - huh, classy, hope he finds a better job before the goofers get too good, because if I were a kid I think I might want to play for him.

Not all in the second half, some of it was in the end of the first half. But that doesn't really matter at all, it's pathetic either way. I also like Pitino Jr, he seems like a good bloke, but he cannot lose games like that. Northwestern and Illinois on your home floor this year and you lose both? Come on.

Hawks had a few games like that last year (glaring example, at Neb) and we all know where that got them. MN is in real trouble.

I like Iowa's chances If Minnesota only makes 4 threes out of 23 attempts and they make stupid turnovers like they did tonight. They turned the ball over twice because they couldn't inbound the ball correctly.

As long as Hollins doesnt make a miraculous recovery by Tuesday night, I really like Iowa's chances now up in the barn.

Recovery from what?

shooting slump? He was 4-13 yesterday.

That had to be the ugliest game in the B1G I have watched this season. If Minnesota plays like that against Iowa it will be a blowout even if Iowa does not bring their A game.

It's always nice to peak at the right time. Nebraska is playing well and the schedule sets up well. Minnesota looks to have peaked 2 or 3 weeks ago.
