Nine teams in the Big Ten have a .500 conference record or worse.

And while there's a lot of B1G basketball yet to play, if the season ends today, NORTHWESTERN would get a Thursday bye and the B1G tournament #4 seed.
And the way they are playing against everybody but Iowa, it could well be it stays that way right through the end of the season.

Northwestern is 5-1 against the 8 teams behind them in the standings. They may end up being the 4 seed and getting the bye at the end of the season. Their only game remaining against a team ahead of them in the standings is @ Michigan State. The other 7 look winnable.
