Miller: Best of the Big 10 Week One

Just think, the Big Ten could jump to the front of the line of the Power Conferences with four big wins this weekend. However, most likely they will end the weekend in second place in public opinion.

The whole league looked good this week, cept for the two teams we do not play,PU and Ill...and even they hung around in their games vs decent opponents.

This just looks like the best big ten in football in awhile...like in BB.

I despise NW but I have to say that they always come up with a QB that makes plays...Persa is no exception. He is almost Doug Flutie-like...short but fast, and that works in their helter skelter scheme.

Robinson looked great. He is like Pat White was for Dickrod at West Va.
Lot of high percentage passing performances this weekend.
Foles of Az was 32 of 36. Persa 19-21,Ricky 18-23,Robinson 19-21. Kind of scary.
Does this portend an offensive year in college football. I think so. Iowa's defense has to be great, to give the Hawkeyes the edge...and our offense has to be improved to keep up with the other offenses.

John Clay looks like he has added ten lbs in the gut...actually looks like he is 260+ now. But, is belly fat helpful? Still a beast.

Gonna be a brutal gauntlet for Iowa this year in this league...if we win the league, we will have earned it,and would be one of the great Iowa teams of all time.

I thought Robinson looked unbelieveable from what I watched. My biggest question for him (and I'd love to hear what you have to say JM) is how will he hold up? He's not very big and after 3, 4 or 5 games will he be as effective or even out there at all. I have a feeling he's going to get drilled pretty hard once someone can catch him. Their defense is still pretty suspect at best.

I have a hard time seeing Robinson making it through the B10 season injury free. He takes some hard hits and he does not have a Tim Tebow like build. Also, Michigan's defense did look good, but UConn has some terrible WRs, there were so many dropped passes that killed their drives in that game.

Few B10 backs go wire to wire without missing some time. Iowa should have 15 carries apiece for 32 and 27 nice combo
