My thought is that Miklus is a really talented upper weight, coached by Jesse Smith, and still getting better. With our lack of depth I had hoped he'd be a hawkeye. However, I'm sure that Smith would give Brands an honest assessment of how valuable Miklus could be.

Not a surprise since Iowa hadn't had any direct contact with Miklus since before Fargo.

They are in a battle with a bunch of other B10 schools for the services of Sam Brooks. Brooks was looking at Mizzou along with friend Zane Richards, who I think will commit soon.

Can we assume that with Miklus choosing Mizzou that is an indication that Brooks will not be heading there?

I don't know if that is a safe assumption for sure. Couldn't Miklus wrestle 184 and Brooks 197? I'm sure Missouri would love to have both. Most programs would.
