Michigan State had nothing left to show.

Looking back on this game it seemed to be fairly clear by halftime that Michigan State had come from behind or made so many plays to swing momentum the past few games, they had nothing left to show the Hawks.
Play all your good cards early, have nothing left by the time you go down. I
think they had relied on trickery so much to this point, Iowa was well aware of what to look out for, the only thing left to do was to try and work back in the game on the tails of Coach Ferentz conservative game calling. Kudos to Kirk and staff for not letting the foot off the gas. I was impressed when right before half Ferentz was trying to force a Michigan State punt to give a return before the half a chance.
There are a few drawbacks of that. I was a bit concerned why Stanzi was still on the field at the end of the 4th quarter, I would think JV would be in there. All the other 2nd teamers were.

Stanzi said that Vandy had a stiff back this week, and couldn't go. I was surprised to see Stanzi in there as well, but we weren't really doing anything that would give Wienke meanigful snaps.
