Yeah ole Dantonio didn't like being called out on it by Harbaugh either. Harbaugh may not have been right to take that angle on it but what he said wasn't wrong... It's all petty BS on both sides here to be sure. What MSU did and how they did it was strait up intentional. And it got the intended result. It pissed off Bush and Michigan. Bet they wish they didn't after how that game went. Michigan kicked their butt yardage wise worse than we did to MD....

Dantonio’s an idiot if for no other reason than to say “BS” when the reporter called him out for laughing and smiling when there are who knows how many cameras and phones around.
With smartphones there are 20 different camera angles of everything and all of them are on twitter and YouTube within 10 minutes. If you’re going to say you didn’t do something, you damn well have to be sure of it otherwise you look like a lying asshole.
Dantonio has been a lying asshole for several decades so maybe he wasn’t real concerned about it; who knows?

The worst part about Dantonio is that ESPN, BTN, etc like to parade him around as this classy dean of second chances, and an authoritarian figure who "does things right". It's a complete farce.

Dantonio is a douche...and I don't like his demeanor, but the real problems start when he opens his mouth. He's an arrogant ass. Even with my dislike for all things Dantonio...Michigan is acting like a bunch of people who have never been here before. Sometimes what happens on the field is enough to put someone straight.
Winovich is the one behaving like the "little brother". What usually happens is that "older brother" kicks your ass 8 out of 9 times...and then "little brother" wins one and gets all full of himself. MSU had been beating Michigan like a drum for years...Winovich has forgotten recent history. He behaved like a little brother or a punk...absolutely no class.
Honestly...I'd like to play Michigan in the B10 championship. I'm not saying we would beat them up or anything...it would be one hell of a program measurement tool. I would like seeing Wirfs and Jackson against Winovich and Gary. It would let us know where we are as a program.

It's MSU's field. Get off the field when they do their "tradition." They were asked to get off the field. And didn't. That's bush league.

The fumbled punt by Mich at the end MSU game in Harbaugh's first year has to still just gall a burn everyone in the maize and blue program. After several years of getting pounded by sparty they had one won until some rugby player from down under disguised as a punter (just kidding) decided to do something stupid.
The big question is was why didnt harbaugh run some better sweep plays and give up a little yardage with max protection and they would have never had to punt.

Is there a video showing Dantonio smiling and laughing? I'd be surprised if that part of Harbaugh's story wasn't BS. Never seen him laugh.
I didnt see much of what happened but if your first part about a tradition is true then yes bush by Michigan.
At the same time we in Iowa as fans cant even fathom the heat and longevity of this rivalry. These are big boy programs here. Natty champions, Big 10 Champions many times, many top 10 finishes. Iowa is the only part of the Iowa - Iowa State rivalry that is even close to a big boy

Jim Tressell was a scum bag for acts like this. One year when they played Michigan in Ohio, the had the security people at the stadium stop all Michigan players and coaches and search all their game bags. Pretty much treating them like they were terrorists. Then when Iowa played there in 09 when the Hawks did the team walk through on Friday at the Shoe, Tressell had a video played on the jumbo tron of OSU winning the national title from their 03 game vs Miami, FL.

Whoa there on MSU being a "big boy program". They have six natty's, sure, but they're ALL from 1951-1966. Those days are long past for them. Since, they are nearly identical to Iowa.
Both teams are guaranteed time on the field before the game. It was Michigan's designated time, and MSU came out 5 min. late. Sure it's MSU's field, but this was orchestrated. Thankfully MSU got spanked like the little children they are.

Michigan players were asked to just step aside so they could do their “traditional walk”. They didn’t. So this was the result. I really don’t think it’s a big deal. 2 rivals
