My recollection is that Roan did not want to stay in IC. He wanted to get away from home. Hayden probably offered but Roan not interested.

Iowa did not offer Michael Roan a schollie.

He wasn't offered by Iowa and felt that they didn't really want him - there were several kids from City High in the late 80s and early 90s that played different sports that felt the same way. He was asked to walk-on at Iowa but he took the Wisky offer. It worked out great for him...sucks his NFL career was cut short.
