MICH and NW in OT

Michigan was 14-38 from 3 and Shurna, Crawford and Soboleski were cold...due in part to MI's D. I am not sure if we have enough 3 point shooters to do what Michigan did tonight. Will need Gatens, Marble, White, Oglesby and McCabe to combine for a decent percentage. NW gives you those shots if you move the ball.

Hey HawkIHoops......in case your getting some short term memory issues.......ahhhh, we already beat Meechigan. And NW will NOT survive a raucous crowd at CHA. Make book on it

Michigan didn't win this game with offense; they won it with defense. They completely shut down Shurna and Crawford. If you defend against NW, you have a good chance to win.

Iowa needs to defend them better when they come to Iowa City for the season-ending game.

The shot in the corner was there all night, and if it was a miss Michigan usually got the weak side rebound off of it. They play it well but if you are prepared for it and don't freak out like we seem to do it isn't that hard.

I would be ok if Cartwright's ankle keeps him out of the NW game. He displayed how not to beat NW's defense by dribbling left to right, getting trapped and jumping in the air throwing passes to unoccupied spots on the floor. NW has that Cobb dude back and he is another good defender in their zone D.

The base line is there too. Unfortuantely we just couldnt score from there enough. That and our d was terrible...

The key is getting the ball to the corner quickly. The few times where we got a pass in there (and they were bullet passes, mind you), we had success. When you start passing the ball laterally, you're screwed.
