Why do you think that Tyler Sash lateraled the ball to him on that INT vs. Mich. State? Tyler is probably the most clear-headed guy on the defense and he knew who had the chance to take that ball back the farthest. It's in the bloodline. His brother was a senior wolverine and was voted all Big-10 defensive back. What makes Micha better is that he has two more years to improveon his brother's second-team selection.
I actually hope that Sash decides to go pro this year. He has started over 33 straight Division I college football games. Seeing him out there next fall without Greenwood beside him just wouldn't look right. Besides, every game played at this high a level takes a % off your body that you never get back. Why not get paid by an NFL team for his next 13 games?
Besides, I really like the way that Miller & Berenstein looked in the 4th quarter last night. Miller would be a sophomore next year. O.K. Berenstein will be a senior, with four years behind him at cornerback. I know he's been a corner for the last eight years, but I kinda like moving him to safety for his senior year and letting him be a fast-closing, hard-hitting, senior-leader for next year's Hawkeye defense.
I know this sounds like blasphemy, but Berenstein could be our next Bob Sanders. We truly haven't had one since him.
