Miami of Ohio 6-6 and bowling

So the hawks have played 8 teams that are probably bowling, Miami (who has won 6 straight and looked to have a good offense in Sept), NDSU, Minny, PSU, Wisky, Nebby, Mich, and with jNW playing Illinois at home they should be 6-6 and bowling. If the hawks do beat Nebby that is an 8-4 record with 8 bowl opponents which is not bad.

Again, this season could be a head scratcher where the hawks are playing really great the last 3 games and it may have taken a stinker at PSu to bring this team together and make them mad and aggressive.

If only KF and the coaches to bottle this for the month of Sept which can sometimes be a letdown.

Good wins: Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska?
Decent wins: Miami, ISU
Just wins: Purdue, Illinois, Rutgers

"Good" losses: Penn State, Wisconsin
Neutral losses: Northwestern
Horrible, inexplicable, fire-worthy losses: NDSU

I think KF needs to rethink August camp and his Sept/early season prep to have the team Nov ready in Sept. KF said he needs to look at his bowl prep or maybe we are losing bowls because we are usually playing much better teams

Going to a bowl game isn't much of an indicator. Out of 12 teams, 1 is decent and 1 is pretty good. Other than that the Mo Valley is probably better.

Boy! It's a good thing we locked up kf before someone could steal him away.

This input is sooo valuable, I'm so glad you post this crap in damn near every thread. Maybe if you post this 1000 more times Barta will do something about it!

So 4-4 vs. .500% or better teams.
3-1 vs. sub-500% sub-division teams.

Looks like typical season with Nebby game deciding if it's "meh" or "pretty good".

6-3 in B1G is a pretty good season.

I had the Hawks at 9-3.
NDS and NW? Just shaking head.

I am sure many of Miami of Ohio's recruits will be on KF's short list of guys to "go after" following the dumpster fire of skill players who have jumped off the Good Ship Kirk.

Hopefully they can still visit other schools, even though signed by Miami...

P.S.: Might want to cast the recruiting net towards North Dakota as well.

P.P.S.: BTW....neither school will care since you can't miss what you never had.

Their coach had been doing a serious rebuild and had been starting underclassmen at nearly every spot over the past couple years. He might even get a new job before the bowl season is done.

Miami played better than I expected in the game, I could tell from it that they would be about a 7 win team. If they win their bowl they will be. Iowa's schedule was more difficult from start to finish than many people thought it would be preseason. Iowa has beat a number of quality teams this year. Iowa will be able to build on this season and recruit well going forward. Next year's schedule is also very tough, but Iowa will be ready for it.

Miami and ISU decent wins?? Come on! Just because we see losses like this w/ KF doesn't make them decent.

The NDSU loss is the one that still gets under my skin. EVERYBODY...I mean EVERYBODY saw it coming except Kirk. Nothing gets through to this guy.

Miami has won 6 straight and is going bowling. ISU is a big rivalry game and has beat Ferentz more than they should.
