Melvin Gordon decommits

Nice 2nd post troll.

Not really trolling if it's true. Perhaps this will be a wake up call to this staff. If you have players that admittedly lost the will to win and you have a coaching staff that plays so vanilla on both sides of the ball, recruits are going to go elsewhere. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone after the last several games. It sucks, but not unexpected!

One of my first thoughts after yesterday was if we'd start seeing some decommits. Honestly, how could any recruit want to play for what he saw yesterday? Yesterday was a collective TEAM fail in every sense, and I can't imagine wanting to be a part of that. I'm all for kids honoring their "commitment," but if I was a recruit I'd be on the phone w/ whichever coach recruited me trying to get some answers.

He was gone before yesterday. It was after a fight in the locker room after the OSU game. That's what caused the problems with Gordon.

I actually wasn't referring to Gordon. I wrote him off last wk, and as painful as it is to say, I can't exactly blame the kid. I was referring more to the other 13-15 commits that I'm fearful will start looking around. And I'm trying to keep some objectivity, but that is just how bad I feel yesterday was.

I agree. The coaching staff is going to have to work extra hard to clean the mess up these last few weeks caused. We have a handful of decent commits, I worry that some of those are going to jump, and the replacements we get will not be the same caliber.

Rodney Coe is a better back anyways. Gordon will be an after thought once Coe commits.

What makes you think Coe even wants to come here? Another team that he is high on is Arkansas and they are playing fun football and have a good shot at a BCS game. Also Illinois the home state team has to be looking good to him also.

What offensive player in his right mind would ever want to play under KOK if he had other big time options?

Ferentz has to upgrade that coordinator job.

Its going to be the same damn thing with the next guy. Maybe he gets the play in a few seconds quicker, but thats about it.

Well then Kirk needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with his ego and hand over the reins of the offense to someone who thinks scoring points is a cool thing to do.
