Melt down thread

On the walk back to the hotel after the game we over heard a few of them meltdown. It filled my heart.

In the elevator one Little Red fan was just staring at the floor, I believe that if he’d been alone in the elevator he’d probably have been crying.
 
My favorite are all the "but we absolutely won the stat line there's no way we should have lost..." arguments. Have they never watched an Iowa game. They killed us statistically, but only got 10 pts out of it...based on what I've seen year in and year out that's a recipe for an Iowa win.
 
I'd recommend watching the Doc Talk podcast.

It's Travis Justice from WHO (mild Hawk fan) and Rob Zatechka giving a very level-headed retrospective of the game. Zatechka is not happy with his alma mater, and not just the prayer/handshake BS. He gives a pretty good perspective IMO.

Iowa is a cornered snake in a patch of weeds getting stabbed with a pitch fork repeatedly but staying alive, waiting for a single mistake and opening to strike and kill you. It's not pretty and looks one-sided, but more often than not an opponent like nebraska gets bit and it's game over.

There's few other teams more worthy of being bitten then Nebby. It never gets old.
