Melrose parking

I know this might be a longshot but I'm looking to lock into a spot on Melrose preferably right across from the stadium. We have a total of 10 cars that would be willing to lock into a set price. Anyone know of anyone looking to lock down some potential customers? We know it could be pricey but very worth it. Shoot me an e-mail at kerry22@mchsi.com if anyone has any info that might help me. Thanks!

Well where we park is about a 4 block walk to the stadium. Its right by a church on Melrose. I know people who have reserved spots at the church. I don't know what they cost, but we venture over there every now and again and its a pretty good group of people. We always park across the street from the church, an old college buddy of mine has a house and he always saves 1 spot for us for every home game (it costs me a case beer each time.) But none the less I know the church is the only place I have seen. I am sure there are places down by the stadium, but I am guessing you are gonna pay top $$ for those spots.

I don't even know who you would contact for that kind of stuff. Most of the places on Melrose by the stadium are first come, first serve and they usually cost $20.00-$40.00 a car per game. I know my cousin has a season deal worked out with the guy that owns the dirt lot back in the woods on the other side of the railroad tracks but I'm not sure how that came along.

You may want to just start knocking on doors prior to the season. We tailgate in the ally behind Olive Ct and have a standing deal with the homeowner. However the homeowner and the tenets are two seprate people. Many of those homes are rented to students and turnover every year or couple of years. If you're interested in a specific property I'd knock on the door and try to work a deal with the person/people living there. If it's a renter I'd contact the homeowner.

The corner of Riverside and Myrtle used to be a prime spot. Too bad they retired that hill. There were some great fans that tailgated there! :)

I agree! They were some pretty cool Hawk fans. You'll never see that again! Hope you enjoyed it and soaked in all the great atmosphere!

In the summer, a lot of folks on Melrose put up signs about football parking. Keep an eye out.

The Hill was heaven on earth....except for all the tailgators from Durant, IA. Right Moose? :)
You always knew it was a big win when comer would dance with the telephone poll.

GO HAWKS!

That kid had moves that moved that telephone pole. Earthshaking.

I VOTE WE RENAME THE HILL, "MOOSE HILL, AND REINSTATE THE TAILGATING!"
