Kirk is such a real guy. He's been at this for so long now yet he seemed to have just a twinge of being uncomfortable at the podium during his address/Q&A. It's nice to see that he's not a robot. I love how he answered the question he got about King coming back. He mentioned from his perspective of advice giving it was easy. Saying how this is one of the few times in a kids life where one can do what they want to do and not what they have to or feel extremely obligated to anyway. He mentioned Scherff and how they both wanted to get their degrees and just genuinely liked being at school with their friends/teammates. It just has to be a completely different feeling between teammates in college and the pros. I think King getting to see Scherff make his similar decision only helped. I also think losing the Rose Bowl and BIG championship helped a little with King coming back too. He's got some unfinished business to attend to. I don't think it was any one thing as much as it was everything together. I'm so fired up for this season to start. August can't go by fast enough.
