McGary & GRIII are staying

surprises me about McGary. gotta strike while the iron is hot. especially if you're expected to be a first round pick.

I think McGary will have a much bigger season next year. He really didn't come on until late this season.

yeah, but it can backfire too. i guess i think of, for a football analogy, guys like Matt Leinert and Matt Barkeley (probably totally misspelled their names, don't care) would have been much higher picks if they hadn't stayed that extra year. Leinert might have been the #1 pick and Barkeley definitely would have been a top 15 pick last year and this year he might not even get drafted in the first round.

now, the dude could have another great year and be a top 5 pick also, so there's that. but, i had seen him projected just outside the lottery ~15-20 or so. that ain't bad, and actually lands you on a decent team. combine that with the guaranteed money of the NBA, and that's really hard to pass up.

I thought McGary would go because of his NCAA tourney and because of his age.

GR III really has no pressure to go. If he can put up a decent jump in numbers in his sophomore year he will for sure still be a 1st rounder and more than likely still a lottery pick.

Also, Im sure his old man has gobs of money from his NBA career so he doesnt have any financial pressure to move on.

I hope he ended up better than his former front court teammate Vin Baker.

not a shocker.

McGary going to roll the dice and try to increase his draft stock.

GR III Seems enough of the right people got in his ear and told him he wasn't quite ready yet.
