And started paying some big money for some ESTABLISHED take no prisoners recruiters, we wouldn't be signing white WR's with offers from powerhouse schools like Army, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and Illinois. Just another "Meh" signing by a "Meh" football program. Snort.....meh.

Nothing against the kid....just tired of being totally underwhelmed at the skill positions...signings like this, DO NOT get you to the next level. And that is all we see year after year after year.

I can't take credit for this post,,,,thought I's share it with you though,

Pop quiz: How do you lessen the talent level on the worst WR corp in D1 football last year?

Step 1: replace your OC with the coach's son, and make sure that son has never called a play before in his life.
Step 2: fire your WR coach 3 weeks before signing day and don't have a replacement in mind.
Step 3: have your only existing WR on the roster who was highly recruited retire from football after his sophomore year.
Step 4: seek out the whitest kids in the country who played WR in hs. Weed them out by offering only those who have MAC or worse level offers, and bring them aboard to bolster your roster filled with white walk-on WRs.
Step 5: pick up 3 or 4 of those, and bingo, you've done it! Rinse and repeat next year. You've just made a laughing stock WR corp even worse.

Would you complain if we get another white WR out of Iowa City?

What do you wanna bet that our WR's and passing game are improve this year over last?

2. Way to repost some glaring rascism.
3. Saying nothing against the kid in the original post and then following it up by saying you are underwhelmed by his commitment is actually saying you have something against him.

You're going way out on a limb by saying our passing game will be better than last year. We were 120th out of 128 teams. We really can't be much worse, so yeah it might be better. Big deal. This type of recruiting is just plain awful.

I'll bet you that in year 1 our passing game is close to (within 5 yards per game) or better than the average of 4 Greg Davis years.

If Brian Ferentz has no qualifications, is inept and unfit for the job, and the recruiting at WR sucks as bad as you say, then this is a no brainer win for you. How could Brain come in next year and improve over what an OC who won a National Championship and dominate at another school did? I mean he sucks, our recruiting sucks, how can it possibly get better that what Greg could do over 4 years of his 5 here?

Spot on, and I can't believe that people don't understand this??? Some say that Greg Davis is the same as KOK because of KF, but the stats say that Greg Davis passing game averaged around 195 YPG while he was here. KOK averaged around 225 YPG from '04-'11 (as far back as ESPN stats go).
 
Or the white walk-on WR who played rather well for Auburn in the NC game...

I swear some of you guys would think these same players would be better if they were black, even if they had the same numbers against the same competition.

WRs like ours were getting open all over the country last year and ours were not. That is 1000% on coaching, scheme and playcalling...not the kids.
 
Don't care what race they are as long as they can play.Tim Dwight could out run almost every one.A lot of players in the NFL came from mid major colleges not the so called big 5 conferences.We can't compete for the so called 5 star players at every position so we need to find the guys that slipped through the cracks.I do think Coach needs to get his new WR and RB coach named pretty soon,it might help recruiting.

Agree with your point, but those white receivers on the Pats are quick. They get in and out of their cuts really well.

The assistant coaches should have already been named. This class is toast
 
It has probably been pointed out.....that the player that we really want, that everyone wants......is white. Our recievers are not that bad, the Greg Davis offensive scheme was that bad. I am no KF apologist, but come on man....you have crossed the line to nuttiness.

I think they already know who they are but due to contract negotiations and such it takes a little time before being made official. ND just hired their QB coach Things take time. Who knows maybe I am convincing myself that they are doing it right and it is the opposite. I would rather they do their due diligence rather than throw shit against the wall and see what sticks and then we have to bitch about it again next year.
