Maurice Bell Headed to Colorado

Interviewed Maurice this morning. He told me:


"I chose Colorado because it was the best fit for me and it's not too far from my family."


"(The Hawkeyes) were very close but I just thought Colorado was the best fit."


"I still had the (Iowa) offer."


"(The Iowa coaches) respected my decision and wished me the best of luck and told me they would love to have me."

This stings a bit, but the two WRs we have gotten in the last 36 hours does take the edge off.

I hope our third wr commit is Oliver Martin, though. I bet that he shines in Oregon and ultimately becomes our most highly sought after wr recruit. (4 stars and many offers). Just my gut talking there...

I'd missed this but it don't surprise me. Getting Cali kids to Iowa is tough... He should be a good fit there. Iowa is still in the running for Oliver obviously and maybe even Web which would give Iowa 4 stud receivers to be tickled to have. So all in all everyone is in good shape
