Masters predictions and thread

Who you think has the game. Kutcher has been playing real good golf but has also lost bitterly the last two Sundays. He almost seems too easy going.

Let's see what Jordan Spieth can do.

My order right now is I would like to see a 2nd green jacket for Zach Johnson, Kutcher next in line to win (but he doesnt really draw the ball), Adam Scott is one of the better hitters but he has been missing a lot of short putts.

I just saw that Mike McCoy, longtime top US amateur who lives in West Des Moines, is in the Masters.

Good luck and it would be great to see him playing on Sunday PM.

Hopefully, Zach. It will be nice not having Tiger play so it's a The Master's instead of The Tiger, but I'm sure they'll devote plenty of air time to his injury. I'd like to see Jason Dufner in the hunt or sporting a green jacket, and Fowler not make the cut.

I think Jason Day makes the leap into the big time.

I echo the sentiments that it's nice not have Tiger around. Tired and sad watching an aging hero let himself down over and over again.

We could be witnessing a coronation tomorrow, guys. Jordan Spieth might just make us forget Eldrick.

I was thinking the same thing although golf is a sport that seems to make great players have their struggles.

But Spieth right now just seems to be there every week he plays.

I can see why Blixt, with little experience, made a mess of the back nine par 5s today but Bjorn has played there before.

If either of them just goes par-birdie instead of bogey bogey on the par 5s he is right there. Bjorng is going to kick himself for losing maybe 3 strokes.

And not sure what happened to Bubba but he seemed to lose his concentration. I and a million golfers have had a good round going only to just lose the tempo or lose our focus and blow up.

What a crowed leaderboard. If bubba had shot 68 yesterday it might have been a coronation walk today but now:

Could Couples go way low and pull off a miracle as he survived his Saturday nemesis.
Blixt looks dangerous if he can master the par 5s by maybe laying up.

Spieth looks controlled and it great position of course.

Bubba is so mercurial he could shoot 66 or 78 depending on how pissy he gets.

I like Kuchar's chances on being under control.

It is hard to followup a great round with another like Jimenez.

Who you got??

I'm calling Speith. He showed me something at the John Deere.

He seems to have all the shots, draw or hold off fade, above avg short game and he is putting well for his first masters.

It will be interesting to see how he plays the par 5s today, higher risk-reward vs laying up.

It will be interesting to see how Spieth and Blixt do in this position because:

Rory shot about 80 when he started with the Sunday lead.

Snedeker was in the lead last year and shot poorly

Dustin Johnson and many young Sunday leaders in the Majors have blown up.

We all know what Augusta did to Greg Norman multiple times on Sunday as well as other top pros.

I was surprised by Bubba's round yesterday, considering he has won here before.

On a side note: I thought I liked Bubba Watson but I'm having second thoughts after watching his on the course demeanor. All started for me with this and I love Feherty comment " Hey you hit it Bud" :) You can tell Feherty is really holding back from making more comments.

I tuned in for the back nine of that tourney where Bubba lost it. I agree with you that bubba didnt come off as the nice bible toting sportsman we are shown. I still like to watch him but he can get hot.

I have no idea how a caddie can club him sometimes with all the slice and hook spin he puts on shots. YOu would have little idea of whether the ball would bore through the air or get push and held up.

Now I could see Bubba or a pro getting pizzed at his caddie if he gave him wrong yardage but the example you showed was a tee shot where the golfer knows the yardage and a drop area where he should know the yardage.

I think bubba gets worked up and has some distance control issues.

Bubba sort of surprised me as Speith took a 2 stroke lead bubba had a couple hiccups but he didnt lose his cool.

Bubba made a lot of great shots, speith had some poor luck on 8, 9 and 12 which pretty much meant the title. Three more feet on 12 and speiths shot is a tap in birdie instead of a 4.

Kutcher again lost his swing a bit on the back nine for third week in a row but at least he is there each week.

Blixt looks tough.

Speith will learn from this as it looked like he lost his tempo as a couple of the analysts mentioned. too fast, coming up out of shots but man he has a great short game

But bubba is king now

Players do not get a second green jacket. They only get one, and after a year they have to give it back to be stored at the clubhouse.

Not a fan of Bubba. Seems to be an arrogant jerk except when someone's handing him a trophy.

People seem to have a lot of different takes on Bubba. I can see your point. He tries to come off as the bible toting christian on the tour and I think the tears are true, but I also think like many big time sports stars he is egotistical and self absorbed.

Maybe he just isn't a people person. Don't know and I probably shouldn't say anything bad about him. That's why I like the players like Phil and Graeme McDowell. It is a gentleman's sport after all haha.
