For those of you that didn't see it, 8 broken tackles.

Great run, but that is the worst excuse for tackling i have ever seen.

This.

Mad props also to Tracy Porter for quitting on the play after getting owned with the forearm shiver . He was in a great position to make a tackle around the cutback point if he doesn't start jogging.

I wasn't taking anything away from the run and i don't agree that all great runs have poor tackling.

I think they kinda do. I mean you don't classify Cokers run in the bowl game a great run because he was hardly touched. If a defender gets a solid shot at a RB and doesn't make the play then by definition it's poor tackling, cause if it was good tackling it would have brought the guy down.

An example of what i mean: A bunch of guys are throwing weak arm tackles at Lynch that he is simply running through.

In contrast let's look at Shonn's run against Purdue where he blows up the DB in the hole and runs for 70ish yard td. I wouldn't consider that a bad tackle, of course he didn't make the tackle, but he gets in the hole, breaks down and tries to hit and wrap up. Greene just happened to demolish him.

It's splitting hairs really. It's like the argument of "did OSU win the Sugar bowl or did Arkansas lose it" You can make an argument either way.
