Favorite "legend of Kingsbury" story is of him at a youth basketball camp in Iowa. The coaches introduced him and told all the campers that Chris was really working on his range... Kingsbury proceeded to pull up from half court and bomb 3's like they were 10ft jumpers. He was really fun to watch!

I absolutely loved watching him play, especially when he got into a zone! Probably wouldn't like him as much now, because I have some grumpy old man attitude sometimes when I watch games.

Henderson will launch from anywhere at any time. He was 1-11 in the first half today, didn't stop him from shooting 10 more times in the second half. That's pretty much what he does every game. Threw up 12 threes and most of them were off balance fade aways.
I don't seem to recall Kingsbury doing this.. This guy has spent time in jail, personally I think his father/coach in high school contributed to making this kid what he is, spoiled, arrogant jerk.

Both are or were questionable decision makers although I liked Kingsbury much more because he was a Hawkeye. Henderson seems much more troubled mentally than Chris. I think Chris' issues stemmed more from alcohol than being a purely troubled soul. Henderson seems a bit more trailer park trashish to me. He is nowhere near the shooter CK was either!

I was out in Estes Park, CO on a climbing trip circa 2000 and walking down the other side of the street was Chris Fing Kingsbury pushing a baby stroller. I just laughed to myself, cuz that was the same dude who used to chain smoke at the Airliner and get into fistfights during basketball games.

I wish I could find the VHS of the 93 Duke game at Carver. Kingsbury gets an and 1 off a steal on the press. Unbelievable move, double clutch reverse layup from one side of the rim to the other. Anyway, in the celebration of the play, Iowa huddled up like Duke always does on the floor, Chris Collins is walking by and as Kingsbury is putting his arm around, I think was Glasper, extends his arm out further and smokes Collins in the face, then just puts his arm around Glasper like nothing happened. Probably watched it 50 times.
