The end of our tournament will be shown on one shinning moment because some D bag nobody becomes Michael Jordon with ice in his veins and drills a once in a lifetime shot at the buzzer. We are Iowa basketball. That's how we roll.

It's really sick. Ball just never seems to bounce right for us when needed most.[/

If we do ever actually hit a game winner, the officials will put a half second back on the clock and they will make a half courter.

Good teams make their own luck, and bad teams find ways to lose. Looking back, there was no way we were going to come away with a win tonight. And this season is now officially a disaster thanks to Fran's HORRIBLE coaching job and the total lack of any senior leadership whatsoever.

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you need to get lucky, like isu needing a missed free throw. When we find ourselves in that situation, we are doomed every time.

Mind u it was a miss from an 89% ft shooter. That ball woulda bounced right to the one guy they had in the lane though if it was against us...

Let's just hope we are lucky enough to even have the chance to be included in that video package.

Whether you think you can or think you can't you are right.

You shouldn't need luck against a team as bad as Illinois at home.

That's the narrative, but while Illinois is not great, they were 7-10 in the BIG and winning record overall. Were they really that bad or perhaps we just aren't an elite team. Luck is nice against anyone. Ask, say, #3 Arizona....#5 Kansas...etc etc.

Losing sucks. Losing 5 of 6 is brutal.

Turn it around Hawks !
