Marcus Coker was tabbed as the National Running Back of the Week.

Yeah so stick that in your pipe and smoke it Rex (mr oct by espn). Who would trade Coker for Rex? Wasnt that one of those stupid arse posts around here?

Good job Coker, keep it up. Nose to the grind stone young man, lots of work to do and the awards will come.

I noticed that the calls for McCall have slowed down.Coker is starting to come out of the shell he put around himself after the TT game, should lead(or has a chance) to lead B1G RB's in yardage.

Marcus really seems to be hitting his stride the last few games. He is seeing the holes better, cutting back better, and even bringing back the stiff arm when he is getting into the secondary. That stiff-arm shot to the minny lb that shoved him off his feet was classic bully-back stuff! Marcus is a very old-school kind of back, pretty unique in todays game. Just punishes opposing d-backs. Combo of Nick Bell, and Beanie Wells.
Knock on wood,he stays healthy, and becomes the all time Iowa rusher...he has to have a shot with two more years, right? I also like his high character, strong academic mindset...great young man.

Good for him. Hope he keeps it up against some better defenses... I wonder how many more yards he might have had in the MN game, if we woulda been up by a couple more TD's or field goals going into the second half....

If I were the RB coach (which I am not, I have put in my resume however), I would tell him he either goes in the guard hole or tackle hole, nowhere else. This kid needs to go north and south, laterally he is not effective. straight ahead and let him put DB's on their deireair's (spelling big time on that)

If Coker ran with confidence and power like he did last week, he'll have no problem making others lists as well.

Once again I would like to mention Brad Rodgers coming back has been the difference in our running game. Watch him get the work done.

Very good point, there has been alot of things clicking on the O to help him out and they all deserve credit for it. The OL, FB and the passing game all make it work.

If Hyde doesn't get that pick against Missouri, it would of happened in the bowl game:(

why do people keep posting this nonsense? You do realize, don't you, that the only reason Missouri took the lead in that game was because they intercepted a Stanzi pass, don't you?

Somehow everyone believes Iowa got "lucky" with an interception, but Missouri somehow "earned" theirs a few minutes earlier.
