Yep, Iowa should be banned from even recruiting QBs. Special NCAA rule.

From the 5 minutes we saw Lainez play he did not seem like a Lester type QB. Seemed like a good athlete, but don't know that the arm and decionmaking is there. I am fine with Lester cleaning house and building out his QB room with guys he wants. A BF exorcism is fine by me.

This is one of the final acts as we sunset the previous OC's mark and start a new offensive era at Iowa. There are new standards in place for someone to be recruited and play this position.

I've grown tired of the media bemoaning the QB development / retention at Iowa. That was a thing of the past.

Yeah the kids arm must not be that great... He's been there long enough now that they got a good enough look at him. He shoulda been next man up over Stratton and that didn't seem even be the case. So I'm good with the stink of BF getting scrubbed out of the room. This time right now with the portal opening up is Lesters time to shine. The results of this off season will almost make or break his tenure. That goes for more then just the QB position too btw. Oline could use some help and a stud WR would sure be nice

I can't bring myself to hope for a stud WR. A couple ok WRs is all I can say out loud. Add them to a QB of average ability, and an OL that is not inconsistent, and we might just have ourselves a non-joke worthy offense!

Actually, I just looked it up and we are 66th in total offense. So, we are already average!! Imagine if we had a QB who can make a few plays?? The mind is boggled at the possibilities!!!!!
