Kind of on the fence on that one - maybe 4-6"? I don't like to go too far, cuz if it's windy, it'll sorta blow open and expose a hairy moob. THAT would be embarrassing!

Not if you wear it with really short cutt-off jorts...so the pockets hang lower than the lower hem of the jorts.
