Mansell on key third and short situations

Why not just go all Army or GT and run that option style for a possession or two a game? That to me would be bad ass. It'd be a different blocking scheme but that'd be the point. Or to really throw curveballs go back and forth from it within a possession. I always thought how much better those schools that primarily do that would be if they could mix even a little bit more of a passing game to them..

Boyle wasn't athletic enough to play in the Big Ten. Nothing he did at Indiana State is going to change my opinion on that.

Stanley was clutch in the Nebraska and Miss. State games on key 4th down conversions. He is maturing. Cut him slack.

We simply need playmakers at the skill positions. We have some and will find more. In Kirk We Trust.

Iowa’s security blanket on 3rd and 4th down was T.J. and Fant. Hopefully next season they can lean more on an improved running game.
