Man even if Iowa did make the BTT game

I think Ohio St would hang 60 on them. MSU looking like they would knock us around pretty good to. East division should easily handle whoever comes out of the West.

It will always be that way until they realize how un-balanced the conferences are and re-align them.

Connie, Debbie and Iowa compared with Michigan, MSU and Ohio State, have been pretty comparable the last 10 years.
If we beat Michigan, then all is forgiven for this horrible loss.

A win over Michigan would lesson the pain, but not totally remove it.

Sorry but nothing takes this loss away. This game will be brought up for the next two decades any time an FCS school is on the verge of beating an FBS team. This game will outlive Ferentzs tenure at Iowa.

Iowa could win every game left on the schedule, lose in the BTT game, and not only are they not getting in the playoff, I don't think they're getting in a NYD game. Maybe the Holiday Bowl? Nashville/NYC is looking like the most likely destination regardless of record. No high-level bowl game wants to talk about Iowa's fraud schedule for a month straight.

Not to mention Iowa hasnt won a bowl game in 6 years

Alignment is difficult to balance in the Big Ten. If you split up Michigan St, Ohio State and Michigan, say you leave just one of those teams in one division and it would be close to 9 out of 10 times they will be in the BTT game. The same can be said if 2 of the 3 in the opposite division.

I really do see any alignment as a "no win" solution for the Big Ten.

I wouldn't be to sure. Ferentz will probably just be starting his 4th long term contract extension in a couple decades.

Unfortunately you might be right! But this game will forever be a part of the KirFer legacy. Couldn't have happened to a more clueless coach.
