Did he really lobby for the Iowa job last time around?

If so...what's wrong with Majerus...I really wanted him last time and my own opinion hasn't been swayed by rumors of poopy towels.
 
Majerus wasn't lobbying for the job, the reports were that he actually yelled at Sean Keeler when he called him to ask about potential interest. He isn't leaving St. Louis, nor do I want him here. He's known for being verbally abusive with players and just his overall personality would not fit with Barta's criteria or with most Iowa fans in general.

Oh, he yells at players. Don't want that. His team was like 22-10 this year playing mostly freshman and sophomores. He will be in the tourney the next few years, we don't want a coach like that. Iowa fans want to win, that is the only criteria.

I never said he wasn't a good coach, I think he definitely is. But he rubs alot of people the wrong way, and one of the reasons Barta (most likely) fired Lickliter was to keep us from having more players transfer out. Do we really want to put ourselves potentially in another volatile situation with a guy who's health is questionable at best? This is all in addition to the fact that he showed no actual interest in coaching here when Alford left.

Oh yeah and just to reiterate he poops in towels.
 
If we could convince Majerus to start pooping in normal toilets that might just provide the big splash that Iowa fans are looking for.
 
Lets also mention that it was more than just pooping in a towel...it was during a team brief and a trainer had to carry it away.

Wait just a second here.....There's actually a college basketball head coach that LITERALLY poops in towels?!?!

I can't believe I've never heard this before!

I have so many questions.......

Laughing out of control at this, that would be quite the splash:eek:

How do people actually know he poops in towels? Does he brag to his friends about it?
