She's doing EVERYTHING - scoring (19 of 27 points!!) defending, stealing ... Syd doing her job on the boards but the rest ... Just shitting the bed!
My God! WTF is going on with Hannah and OGrady?! They have sucked 2 games now. A little leash to Guyton and Stremlow but they are lost and throwing right to Rutgers. Mallegni should not play at all.

Big+ stream wasn’t coming through for me tonight. So i reverted to espn gamecast, and it said “page not found”. Not sure what was going on. Judging by this thread, very few of us saw the game tonight

Trust me, you didn't miss much. May have been the worst college women's game I've ever seen. (BTN+ came through clearly on Mediacom.) Iowa turned the ball over, had several shots rim out early, and scored only 10 pts the entire 1st quarter...trailed 10-14. Rutgers struggled to score the rest of the game. Olsen carried the Hawks from tip-off to the end, scoring 27 pts -- almost 1/2 of Iowa's total of 55. Both teams had 15-20 turnovers, shot horribly, and it was UGGGGGGLY. Iowa led by only 6 at halftime, and it was around that # for most of the 3rd quarter. Iowa DID play good defense -- Rutgers was lucky to score 40 pts total -- but Iowa's offense wasn't much better. Neither OGrady or Stuelke battled for position well, and when they did, the guards didn't deliver them the ball on time -- when they did pass it inside, it was usually from the wing -- NOOOOO! -- and late...very out of sync. Guyton continued to struggle. If Iowa played like this vs almost any other team in the BTen, it would have been a loss.
It WAS a classic 'trap' game. Let's see what they can do vs Ohio St. and UCLA -- nice to have the pressure off, knowing they don't have to win those games to make the NCAA tourney.

Was at the game. Grady is right--it was pretty ugly

Iowa outscored RUTgers 9 to 6 in the 4th quarter.
Iowa had 16 turnovers and 12 assists. RUTgers had 18 TOs and 9 dimes.
Our 3 fives combined for 8 points and 5 boards. Stuekle made 3 layups but she missed 5 shots that were either layups or 2 footers.
Guyton was 2 for 6, including 0 for 3 on threes, with 4 turnovers in 17 minutes.

Olson and Affolter were the lifesavers, as they combined for 37 of the team's 55 points (that's 67%), as the only two Hawks in double figures. Affolter added 14 boards, and Olsen had 4. so they had 18 of the team's 37 rebounds. (49%)

It was a win, but they looked nothing like the team that out played USC on Clark's # retirement day.
Home now and watching SportsCenter and see that that same USC team that the Hawks took down, beat #1 UCLA by 11 points tonight.

So, on the bright side, this Iowa women's team has the talent to beat UCLA when they come visiting next Sunday. Not saying they will, but the numbers show that they are capable of doing so.

It seems like the better Lucy Olson gets, the worse Stuelke and OGrady get.

It seems like the main role of the 5 position now is to draw fouls and keep scoring down for the other team. Then hopefully one of the 4 guards will get hot shooting 3 pointers while Olson gets her points from everywhere.
