It's interesting how different humans and computers percieve games. To a human, the difference between a win and a loss is huge. To a computer, our two point loss drops us two spots in the Pomeroy rankings.

If Marble's shot at the buzzer or Basabe's tip attempt bounced of the rim slightly differently and went in last night, we would have won the game. Instead of doom and gloom, this forum would be filled with threads regarding when we would return to the top ten and our chances of winning the big ten title. Are we really a totally different team if that shot goes in?

In sum, we were outplayed last night in some ways and losing is always super frustrating but we shouldn't get too depressed about these things in March. This hurts our chance to win the Big Ten Title, but I think most of us care way more about the NCAA tournament. Let's hope we can make these shots in March.

You make valid points.

Though thought KenPom was supposed a cut above on this ranking stuff but now I wonder, cuz there is absolutely no reason that Iowa should be higher than MSU or Michigan at this point of the season.
