Iowa's offense went to sleep and the D could not stop northwestern's running attack. Iowa can't run. Smith was open over the middle inside the 10 just before half and they could not execute. Just new examples of ways that the offense can't execute. I've grown weary of the hollow hype that surounds this offense.

Obvious tell: Goodson is deep in the I as the lone back...its a handoff. And they sniff it out every time.

I’ve said it for several years. Kirk and Barta are professional con men. Kirk doesn’t have the pussy non-conference schedule to pad his 7-5 seasons. Take that away and your looking at 4-5 seasons every season. That doesn’t look so hot.

Pam/Beth - was telling us all that 12 years ago about the Iowa RBs. Petras throwing the ball into 5 defenders for a single receiver is weird. Do the math - 4 rushing - 5 around the one guy you are staring down = someone else is wide open! Can we do a Johnny U pump fake - or is the crap that worked in the 50's not sexy enough?

Suffered through the Commings years as a teenager. It was bad.

In some ways this worse because hope is gone. With Commings you knew he would be fired. Kirk however is like that old saying “a jack of all trade but a master of none. The program in my opinion is beyond hope with him as coach.

Now if you take all of the best conference teams off the schedule then you may get a 2015. How did that Rose Bowl work for yah??? What did Alabama do to the team that beat cha in the Big Ten title game??

What ever happened to common descency where a coach could see that an AD doesn’t have the morality to cut bait? The coach that says “Yeah I had a good run and maybe it’s time to hang up my spurs and let someone else give it a try to give this very loyal and deserving fan base what they deserve?
