was supposed to be Revsine & JJ, which I think is their #1 duo.......Revsine had a death in the family and Barnhart (sp?) is the fill in....he's the Illini's play by play guy.

Fouling Sims(Harris?) on a layup with 13 seconds to play, not fouling Novak on the Michigan possesion that tied it, and then not getting the offensive rebound on the possesion where Michigan ultimately took the lead in overtime.

While I can agree, Freddie, I'll say one other thing.
It's too bad he can't finish stronger when he drives to the basket, because time and again he doesn't get a basket or a foul. He doesn't finish strong, and I was hoping that was just a freshman thing. But it wasn't.
He is a great player when he plays to his game, and his game is a lot of things that he can do pretty well. But taking it to the hole is definitely not one of them.
Maybe one other thing that isn't his strong suit, is that sometimes he does some pretty dumb things. I am sure most would say it is because we are undermanned and he is trying to do too much, but I don't think that is always the case, and even if it is, that still means they are dumb things. I can think of quite a few occasions late in games where he makes stupid in bounds passes.
Don't get me wrong, I think he is a pretty good player, and I like him. But those things really bug the heck out of me.

I agree THawki, he has had more shots rejected or altered at the rim than any Iowa player I can remember...partly because he keeps attacking with so little previous success...I think a part of it is that he isn't quick enough to create more space, another part of it his teammates are not demanding other players respect to get far enough outside the lane, and they help D, and another part is Matt isn't getting the benefit of a lot of calls.
I really agree with jon's last comment. Matt gets hacked ALOT when he goes to the hole, however for some reason the refs don't want to call jack.

What was the mystery foul on Matt in the final minutes of regulation that caused Fast Eddie to jog over to Lickliter to explain? The BTN did not show a replay, as I recall.
